Horticulture in open field
BioAksxter® Benefits and Usage Modalities
BENEFITS IN OPEN-FIELD VEGETABLE CROPS
- The plant rebalance optimizes the vegetative development favouring a greater production. The flowering and fruit set improves, as the elasticity of plant tissues increases the resistance to strong winds and mechanical stresses. The harvesting period is prolonged; productions are distinguished by size uniformity, better colouring and reduced crop waste.
- The elimination of chemical and polluting residues determines a greater shelf life, improves the taste, increases the °Brix, vitamins and antioxidants content. The use of BioAksxter® on tomato cultivar, as demonstrated by university research, has shown an increase of 10% of the lycopene content, a natural antioxidant known for its anti-tumor properties.
- The plant has greater resistance to climatic stresses. It reduces the damages caused by drought, acid or persistent rains, temperature changes and frost; in case of hailstorms it accelerates the plant healing and restores its vegetative functions.
- The increase in plant self-defences prevents and reduces the development of fungal, bacterial and viral diseases of the shoot and root apparatus. In addition, in adverse climatic conditions, the use of BioAksxter® is crucial to prevent and contain diseases (e.g. downy mildew, powdery mildew and other bacterial diseases), particularly during harvesting when crop protection products with a long residual period can not be used.
- The soil regeneration and revitalisation rebalances the microorganic fauna and restores fertility, humification capacity and soil structure. The soil exhaustion and excessive salinity are progressively solved. Moreover, the crop residues from the previous cultivation degrade rapidly without encouraging the onset of diseases. It also increases the soil draining capacity in rainy periods and water retention in the dry season as well as its workability. The productions are constant and homogeneous.
USAGE IN OPEN-FIELD VEGETABLE PRODUCTION
Following new tests and assessments carried out by the AXS M31 Research Department — which revealed a higher incidence of diseases in agricultural fields (due to increased virulence, toxicity and invasiveness of pathogens, as well as other issues such as problematic soil conditions, higher levels of pollution, and worsening climatic and environmental conditions) — the intervention levels with BioAksxter® M31 Agriculture for the first cultivation cycles in vegetable production are:
1st INTERVENTION LEVEL: CROPS WITHOUT DISEASES / ISSUES
standard dose: 4.5 liters per hectare for each 120-day cycle
2nd INTERVENTION LEVEL: PREVENTION (in affected areas)
increased dose
3rd INTERVENTION LEVEL: CONTAINMENT (maximum incidence 20%)
double dose
4th INTERVENTION LEVEL: RECOVERY
triple dose
From the following cycles onward, based on technical assessment, applications are progressively reduced back to the 1st level (standard dose).
The technical assessment also considers crop conditions and the agronomic objectives of the farm.
BioAksxter® M31 Agriculture in open-field vegetable cultivation should be applied every 15 days from transplanting or emergence until harvest + 1 pre-winter treatment. The pre-winter treatment is essential to preserve the plant’s vitality during the dormant period, when it is more vulnerable, and to maintain maximum energy for budbreak.
Shake before use. Dilute in any volume of water and apply via root or foliar treatment according to the instructions, with any available means and under any weather conditions. BioAksxter® is compatible with all other agricultural products and can be used at any phenological and cultivation stage, including flowering and harvest. Doses higher than those indicated will never harm open-field vegetable crops.
Treatment during flowering promotes pollination, as bees are attracted to it.
When preparing the soil for new plantings, apply at least 10–15 days before sowing/transplanting. The soil-preparation treatment carried out before incorporating crop residues further improves their degradation and humification.
Watering plants before transplanting with 50 ml per hectoliter further reduces transplant stress and promotes rooting.
Please note: when working with areas smaller than one hectare, an increased dosage is required. Our team of experts is at your disposal to provide all the necessary information. Contact us at info@bioaksxter.com
