Nobody thinks about the stalk

Nobody thinks about the stalk

28 March 2023 - BioAksxter®

Nobody thinks about the stalk... we wrote this back in 2005 reporting on some considerations made during meetings with researcher Alessandro Mendini. We were talking about BioAksxter®, its action of reprogramming the plant and the soil.

"Nobody thinks about the importance of the stem,' he says, showing us a sheet of paper on which he has attached the stem of an apple. We look at him in amazement trying to understand what he wants to explain to us this time, as he continues - it is taken for granted that it is part of the fruit”.

“On the other hand, the “coidori” (a Val di Non dialect for apple pickers) take care of it," comments Luciano, "because no pégol (petiole or stalk), no money!".
"Indeed, one limits oneself to the stalk only as a constituent part of the leaf or fruit, attributing to it at most a mechanical and connecting function...”
Caterina observes from behind her glasses pulled down over her nose.
"On the stalk depends the preservation and thus the marketability of the apple", Vittorio interjects, "but perhaps that is not its only function”.

"That's right," the researcher resumes, "the stalk supports the apple for five months, for 12,960,000 seconds from conception or fruit set until harvest”.
Then, he goes on to make us think: "In 150 days how much sap is brought to the fruit?” - and again: “The stalk draws from the branch what is needed for the apple's programme. From the petiole all the elements pass through: through the coaxials it carries the magnetic field to the chamber containing the seeds: from there the pulp grows. The command is from the centre... In the petiole, magnetic exchanges take place whose energy flow varies from that of the branch and leaf. There are various types of petiole attachment: that of the lemon is male/female, that of the apple comes off the core and the pulp around it grows defensively, that of the cherry is attached to the bone; in each case everything passes through the petiole. The stalk is like the umbilical cord for the foetus: substances that do not pass directly from the mother are formed in it... A stalk can carry an apple weighing 300 grams precisely because through it the fruit sucks up nutrients".

Other unpublished considerations follow, such as: "How much water does the stalk pass through for the transformation into an apple? And how much energy does the transformation of the components require? And how much energy is needed for the flow? How does the flow of energy in the petiole vary with respect to the trunk, the branch, or the cell?"

We wrote at that time: "No one has ever made a treatise on the pedicle, let alone considered the magnetic nature of its attachment. Above all, no one has ever thought about the obstruction of its ducts or the alteration of its transmissions, such as occurs when indiscriminate use is made of chemistry or when hormones are administered, in which case the impairment of the stalks is visually confirmed by an excessive elongation of the petiole. The Apple Proliferation disease also shows a deformed petiole due to the blockage of substances due to lack of energy. It is useless then to think of solving the problem with thirty defensive treatments, but it is essential to act by favouring the unblocking of the magnetic field, the opening of the connections and the flow in the ducts."

After 18 years, nothing has changed. Still no consideration of the petiole other than "its function is twofold: mechanical, in that it allows the movement of the leaf, which is moved by the blowing of the wind; and as a link, because it unites the leaf to the stem allowing the connection of the vascular bundles which, branching out, form its vein”. Someone more extreme mentions the collenchyma, but only to justify its supporting function.
The stalk is not just that thing that holds the fruit attached to the branch, it is not simply a connecting plant structure with mechanical and vascular tissue holding functions!

Once again, it is the backwardness of the sciences and the arrogance of those shrunken hands reaching out towards... towards what? Towards cherries without stalks! Here an effort has been made, but in the direction of Genome Editing.

Man, without knowledge, falls into the vice of substituting himself for the creator. And he does damage to creation. He puts in, takes out, modifies, reshuffles... he knows everything, without looking further. And he destroys himself. He directs life by standing on his false path, he superbly pretends. In the name and domain of science he leads his knowledge on the altar of truth. Not turning his gaze from his own vanity, he does not see.
