Preventing the cocktail effect of active ingredients in apples grown under integrated production
This documentation reports the results of the multi-residue analysis for integrated production control, in accordance with the established guidelines.
- The analysis relates to a sample of Granny Smith apples intended for fresh consumption and grown in accordance with the AGRIOS integrated pest management guidelines adopted by VOG - Consortium of Fruit and Vegetable Cooperatives of South Tyrol.
- The established orchard is regularly treated with BioAksxter®.
- The sample was collected 2–3 days after harvest.
- The 12 active ingredients highlighted in yellow, with the trade name and function handwritten, correspond to those used during the 2011 crop protection program. Of these, 11 were not detected, despite some being known to exhibit persistence in fruit.
- The detected concentration of the active ingredient Dithianon (0.014 mg/kg) is close to the limit of detection of the analytical method (0.010 mg/kg) and is more than 200 times lower than the maximum residue limit (MRL), which is set at 3,000 mg/kg under Commission Regulation (EC) No 149/2008.
